 because of my 'new other job', i got a chance to visit these places:

when you get into prana spa, it feels like you're transfered to another dimension, to the palace of moghul kingdom in rajastan, india eventhough actually this place is in seminyak, bali.
there are millions of spas in bali, but this one is definitely different because of its building & interior which is dominated by red and gold.
for the treatment, they use ayuverda.

chi is the building that we love to see everytime we passed jalan kunti: simple, clean, white, with green and purple accent by the entrance. and again, i used my 'new other job' to ask permission to get in and took some pictures:

got a lunch date with a friend.
dia ngebawain gue brosur banyak & keren2 , gue pikir buat gue, ternyata dia bawa pulang lagi *yeee... *
dia crita macem2, sampe ga sengaja dia crita rahasia yg harusnya ga boleh gue denger, ga perlu gue denger, & pengen gue denger *pengen juga sih*. setelah itu dia malahan panik sendiri.
selesai makan dia resah, gelisah, & sibuk sms. pas gue tanya ternyata dia ketinggalan dompet!! gue tawarin bayarin dia, tapi dia ga mau, lagian dia udah nelfon kantornya, nyuruh org buat nganterin dompetnya.
gue udah kenal anak ini lumayan lama , dia lebih sering ketinggalan atau kehilangan sesuatu daripada nggak: ketinggalan dompet, kehilangan kunci, kehilangan orientasi, kehilangan hidup, dll.
nemenim temen gue ke toko komputer buat ngebetulin komputernya yg rusak. begitu tau kalo komputer dia rusak parah, temen gue langsung bersedih berlebihan . kayaknya dia bakal jauh lebih sedih kalo komputernya rusak dibandingin misalnya kalo dirinya sendiri ketimpa piano. setelah itu dilanjutkan dgn sesi curhat2 antara temen gue & mas2 komputer. saat itu gue ngerasa kalo toko komputer adalah tempat paling membosankan di bawah langit. untungnya gue inget kalo gue ada meeting jadinya hrs buru2 pulang. tapi temen gue malahan nyuruh gue nelfon mundurin schedule meeting gue daripada curhat komputernya keganggu!!

 a lot of breakthrough happen in the office lately.
we're going to give some of our job to the vietnameses because they're cheaper. i mean they stay in vietnam and we'll send the jobs through the internet.
so we'll have less thing to do and we'll use the time we have left for doing anything that we're interested in.

for example, A likes sweeping the floor better than do things with computer, then he'll use the time to improve his sweeping skill. or if B actually wants to be a pilot, the office will provide him with a training in a flying school so he can fly an airplane one day. or if C actually wants to be a bussinessman, he can start using his time standing somewhere along legian and greets everyone who looks like a tourist, "transport, sir... transport."

whatever...

i think before we give some of our job to the vietnameses, our office should have a company outing to vietnam *kalo kantor ga punya duit, org2 yg asik aja yg diajak, misalnya gue *. there we should learn about the people, culture, and language. at least we'll be there for a week.

aug 21 , s a t u r d a y
 visited ma joly, a new restaurant at pantai segara (pantai jerman), tuban, kuta, last saturday.

as i stepped into the place i was surprise that the place was so beautiful *ma joly means my beauty in french*. i can see the ocean from every corner of the restaurant. they said, the best time is during the sunset . you can sit under the pergola by the beach, in a big open bale with alang2 roof, or by the swimming pool. all of them is surrounded by tropical garden.

they offered european food with specialization in french cuisine. and there's chef's recomendation every month.

since the place is at the end of a street and far away from the loud kuta area, you can get a bonus package of privacy, serenity and peaceful atmosphere along with your food. and the place is excellent for a romantic small outdoor wedding.

 kemaren pagi, pas gue berangkat ke kantor, tepat di tengah2 jalan masuk ke kantor gue berdiri seorang bule, membelakangi gue, pake ransel, & mendekap tongkat. gue pikir, "ah, one of those weird tourists."
karena gue ga mungkin bisa lewat kecuali nabrak dia, gue klaksonin.
dia berbalik & minggir dikit.
saat itu gue baru sadar kalo dia.... buta!
gue langsung ngerasa ga enak & nyesel banget. harusnya gue ga nglaksonin jemand behindert like him, gue harusnya turun dari mobil & minggirin dia ke tepi jalan sambil ngasi tau kalo dia berada di tengah jalan.

waktu gue cerita ke temen gue tentang ini, komentar dia:
"wah pasti sulit yah buat org itu buat nyari arah ke indonesia."

someone from the villas recommended tuesday night pizza club *why tuesday night??* as a new restaurant worth to try . it's somewhere in oberoi area, where people started opening restaurants along the street. so last monday nite, we went there. the funny thing is they have  
the movie' titles as the pizza menu.

we ordered chicken run and silence of the lamb, but we like 'chicken run' better .

 ... just some boring movie reviews: 

 
i was dying to see this movie because of its cute website. ada sih di festival sinema prancis, but not in bali! i accidentally found the dvd somewhere in one of those pirate dvd shop in kuta. gambarnya mengingatkan gue pada komik2 thn 80an. this is a french movie, but don't worry if you don't understand french, because there's no
conversation at all!! it was like silence movie, without any text explanation. the cool thing is you just have to guess the story by following those pictures.

the cat's return
another hayao miyazaki with a lot of cats   in it. some of the movie was played in cat's kingdom and those cats can talk and walk with their two legs. about haru, a girl who helped a cat that was almost hit by a truck then the cats 		 
tried to say thank you without realizing that human and cat are different.

 ... and a book!

  i'm reading ali & nino which is a typical love story of two people with different religion. but the setting is in azerbaijan *whoaaaa ... so interesting* at the beginning of 20th century when the country was still under russia. the country is consist of mix people, located by the caspian sea, between asia and europe, so they sometimes couldn't decide if they're asian or european.
i just read a couple of pages of the beginning so i have to read more, to tell you more about the story .

we went to waterbom park last sunday!!!
karena tiket masuknya rada2 mahal , gue amat sangat jarang kesana, terakhir kali juga gue dapet compliment gratisan dari temen gue . kali ini ada temen gue yg 		 
kantornya outing, & gue dianggap 'keluarga' sehingga bisa masuk dengan tiket diskonan. dlm sekejap, temen2 yg lain minta langsung diadopsi sebagai 'keluarga'

  it was EXTREMLY FUN!!!
dengan noraknya gue coba seluruh seluncuran yg ada dari boogie ride, macaroni tube, raft river, race track, sampe yg paling baru & paling tinggi: smash down. yg capek, naek tangga ke menara buat ngeluncurnya. then we were being lazy at lazy river.

we spent the whole day there , dari pagi sampe sore banget, sampe badan patah2, sampe kulit sakit kebakar, sampe males menerima kenyataan hidup kalo besoknya hrs ke kantor .

someone sent me the latest edition of this magazine.
i like your cover better now .
but since what i get was the promotion copy, i didn't get that cutie little candle that people get when they buy the magazine. it was free anyway, i shouldn't complain too much... 		 

  i bought a magazine called anima for the first time because of its cover . it says they have something about studio ghibli in it *they even put totoro in the cover!*. but it was a dissapoinment . they didn't have that much thing about studio ghibli and all of the information was taken from the website, so i read them already. the other stuff inside the magazine was about japanese things that i'm not intereseted at all. so if anyone want this magazine, i'll give you for free , just
tell me!

 friday the 13th, huh?

last weekend, i watched eurotrip *hi meo *. at the beginning of the movie they showed the graduation of the class 2004.
what???!!! class of 2004 already???!! *feel so old mode is on*

since it has been like light years ago, i'm trying hard to remember what happened to me after my high school		  
graduation.

so here they are:
had a class trip to turkey!!!
flied to istanbul, then to izmir. from there we took bus to kusadasi. a small city by the beach where we spent a week there. the place a bit reminded me of bali, coz we had to do some bargain before buying anything. and their currency even worse than us! we could spent half million lira just to have a simple lunch!
atsuko left a few months before the graduation since the japanese school year begin in spring instead of in fall
got accepted & rejected from some universities
sista left for bandung, my brother became the only child at home *how lucky!*
spent a week in rome, italy with lusi *see post on my jan 14, 2003*
study for the university exam, they let me skip the english and math exams but i still had to study for physic *physic sucks! *. i remembered i even take my physic book to rome, but i ended up didn't even touch it at all .
moved away for the first time from my parents, family, and friends. spent my first days crying...
and this week i watched these movies:
 
brother
a russian movie, like usual it's always gloomy, sad, and depressing . about two brothers who became a gangster. the setting is in st. petersburg, which i put into my wish list of places i should visit one day after watching this movie .
