i
was sitting next to a sculpture from majapahit era.
be careful. don't touch it. it's bloody expensive.
how
come that ugly creature worth so much?
why do they put it in their living room? it doesn't
match at all.
isn't it better to display it in a museum, so more
people can admire it?
i
didn't ask the questions, it was only in my mind.
they're stupid questions and easy to answer anyway.
i was in a small party with nice people, nice place
and nice food.
did
you try the pasta? i made it myself. i hope you like
it.
forget about the sculpture. let's try the pasta.

"istri lo kan lagi hamil."
"ya abis gitu."
"abis gitu kan ngelahirin, bayi

seriously.
they're expecting
a triplet!

no kidding!!

Besok

before
when people had secrets they didn't want to share,
they'd climb a mountain
they'd find a tree and carve hole in it
and whisper the secret into the hole
then cover it over with mud
that way, nobody else would ever discover it

kar wai |
| just
watched the latest's wong
kar wai's movie last weekend, 2046
(i bought the dvd a long time ago, but didn't
feel like watch it until last weekend). this one
was nominated
in 2004
cannes
film festival as
best movie
but didn't win. tony
leung was still there, as a
writer
who wrote a story |
|
 |
called
2046, a
place in the future
where people goes there to recapture their memory by
train but never come back.
part of the movie is in 1960s
style
*like in
the mood of love* and the other part is
in
the future
*i don't like too much the future scenes*. there were
also zhang
ziyi and faye
wong *the girl in chunking
express*.
the thing i always
love
from wong
kar wai's movies: the
soundtrack!!
fiançailles
(a very long engagement).
my
last movie of the weekend was the
house of flying daggers. it was not
as good
as hero
but i still love
the way zhang
yimou makes movies! the
movement of the weapons,
the things he did to the
bamboos,
etc. just simply wonderful .
the story was just typical kung fu movies. he
has zhang
ziyi (was in 2046
too) and andy
lau in it. if you love hero,
you should watch this one too . |

btw, some friends asked me to do midnite
for elektra
but didn't make it. i was too tired
and didn't
interested too much in it.

temen gue: ada peter
pan di bali,
nonton yuk!
temen gue yg lain: di hrbc
kan? masuk-nya lewat
backstage aja,
gue ada temen kok, lagian kalo lewat situ ga bayar.
temen gue: hah?
backstage?
ketemu personilnya dong!
*temen gue histeris, dilanjutkan dgn pingsan *
gue langsung pura2 ga kenal.
sebagai
wanita dewasa
yg bukan anak kecil lagi
*tsah*, sebenernya gue males2an nonton peter pan .
tapi karena temen kantor gue selalu muter lagu2 mereka
on every single day,
on and on,
gue jadi merasa 'dekat'
dgn mereka.
for
all of those die
hard fans of ariel
out there, please eat
your hearts
.
menurut ibu
tiri yg menyaksikan dgn
mata kepala sendiri
*infotainment mode is on*, ariel,
vokalis-nya peter pan itu pacaran dgn luna
maya, adeknya tipi
*you know, the gorgeous
surfer
from my
archive*. luna maya itu maen di film
bangsal
13 *film horor, jadi gue ga akan nonton*.
utk meramaikan
suasana,
gue juga mau ngajak superhero.
tapi dia lagi unreachable (mungkin dia sedang menyelamatkan
dunia
). hp-nya
rusak, pas gue telfon kantornya, ternyata lagi mati
lampu
& staff-nya pada ilang
semua
*ih, ga dewasa gitu yah, masa mati lampu aja langsung
pada kabur*.
pernah kau lihat bintang
bersinar putih penuh harapan
tangan halusnya terbuka
coba temani dekati aku
selalu terangi gelap malamku
we walked
to the place *it was just mission impossible to find
a place to park the car*. like we have already perdicted,
it was more
than crowded
*we ended up didn't do the backstage thing, tapi ikutan
ngantri spt rakyat jelata lainnya*.
but it was awesome!
ariel
looked gorgeous and the beautiful luna maya was somewhere
behind the band on the
stage during the concert.
the audiences knew the songs by
heart
and sang along. we enjoyed the time and didn't
regret
coming there at all.
when walked on the way home, we still had them in
our head and sang the song terribly,
out of tune .
dan rasakan semua bintang
memanggil tawamu terbang keatas
tinggalkan semua, hanya kita dan bintang
yang terindah meski terlupakan
dan selalu terangi dunia
mereka-reka hanya aku dan bintang
-- aku
dan bintang - peter
pan
ps: i
can't find
their official website, only fan site.
kasian juga yah
band sekeren itu ga
punya website
beneran.

i
got the
book
yg
penampakannya udah gue tunggu2: supernova
petir.
my first
impression
about the book: i love the cover!
and they also use this really good paper,
i don't know the name of the paper but it's the
same paper as the books that my japanese friends
used to carry around. |
i've read part of the book before it's published. it's
about an
orphan chinese girl
named elektra,
her only sister watti,
lives in papua
(coz her husband works in freeport). living alone in
bandung,
the city where she was born and grow up, she tries to
make a living. from there, her
adventure
began.
compare to the two previous supernovas, this one is
much much funnier
. funny in
ironic way, in short sentences. i really enjoyed the
story *except the electric stuffs *
and the story has no relation at all with the other
books. and yes, it has open
ending.
an excellent
book ,worth
to read... |

I
wish I lived somewhere else.
I wish I was someone else.
But then, I've wished for those things almost
my whole life.
I wish |
|
 |
I could cut myself into two, let the lower half in the
ground and the upper half spread its wings and fly.
But then again, I've always gone through my life with
my mind wandering somewhere else.

the
first haruki
murakami that i read was norwegian
wood (it was dec 2002, i wrote it in my
blog). a friend recommended me to read it, and becomes
one of my favorite book.
after finished reading it, i felt like got punch on
my face .
then i talked to the guy who borrowed me the book on
the phone. he said he almost
fainted
after reading
the book. we were so
excited
talking about the book. since that occasion, i christened
him as my advisor for books to read.
i
continued reading
other murakamis:
sputnik
sweetheart, south
of the border west of the sun, but only
able
to read half of a
wild sheep chase (the book was too confusing
for my simple brain). i looked for the
wind up bird chronicle after reading
this
and this
blog. when i found the book, i didn't really feel
like to read it because of its thickness
and small font.
to me, it seems more like a
weapon
*if i throw it to someone, it can make a victim badly
injured ,
or even died *
than something to read.
one
weekend, when i was at a friend's house, i saw the
book laying
neatly
on the shelf. since i think i wasn't busy *the truth,
i'm actually never busy *,
i borrowed the book. he was kinda surprise
that i never read the book.
 |
|
after
i started reading
it, i found out the book is just simply too
long *i
heard its japanese original version is even longer!!*.
i got bored
easily
and i left
the book
more often than reading it. there were so many
unexplained
things
in the book and you will get more and more of
it as you keep reading. but the book is not
bad
either, so after a really hard work i finished
reading it. |
endless
of questions
are still unanswer
until the end of the book. it's a bit bothering me
.
sometimes i didn't know the part that i read was a
dream or reality. it was just confusing. but i like
the historical
writing about the war
,
something i never heard before from japanese side
of view. the forced labourers part in coal mining
in siberia reminded me of this
movie *but from german's side*.

plan:
naek kereta paling pagi.
alarm bunyi, mandi, last minute packing, bangunin adek
gue.
"nomor telfonnya taksi berapa?"
"ada tuh di hape gue."
*nelfon taksi*
"emang sekarang jam brapa?"
"jam 4."
"lo kayaknya masih pake jam
bali deh. sekarang baru jam 3!
tapi kalo lo mau nyapu2 dulu di gambir sih ga pa2. batalin
aja taksinya, entar gue anter ke gambir."
sampe gambir ternyata antrinya ga
serame
spt yg digosipkan org2. padahal wiken. ada org yg ga
jadi berangkat nawarin tiketnya ke gue dgn harga sama,
& gue ga
usah antri
dong .
like i wrote here many times, bandung is always
something
for me.
it was raining
everyday
and sooo
cold
*according to my balinese standard*.
i spent time in a friend's house, jalan2, makan, dll.
i found a secondhand bookshop
which is cheaper than in bali! yay!
masih di bandung, nelfon
temen gue *beda org sama yg gue ceritain kemaren*
"eh gue nebeng
balik ke jakarta yah."
"sok aja. gue juga sendirian
kok. jam 7an gitu yah"
jam 7an. berangkat
ke jakarta.
"gue biasanya kalo di jalan
gini nyanyi2."
"gue tau. gue udah siap2, denger nyanyian lo kok."
"i take it as compliment."
"entar tol-nya gue aja yg bayarin yah."
"wah kalo gitu kita lewat
cikampek aja, tol-nya
lebih mahal
soalnya *langsung muter
mobil* lo ga niat bayarin besinnya
juga?"
di jalan.
"gue ngantuk neh. lo gantiin
nyetir yah."
"ga mauuu."
"kalo gitu gue nyanyi2 lagi
yah. tapi kali ini lagunya dimatiin, pure suara gue.
entar lo kasi tau kurang apa suara gue."
*mulai nyanyi*
*nyanyi*
*selesai nyanyi*
"gimana suara gue? apanya
yg kurang?"
