i'm done
 with the office stuff,

film iran.
ceritanya sederhana. ada anak kecil yg pengen banget beli ikan
koki
 buat hiasan
perayaan
tahun baru.
setelah maksa2 akhirnya dia dikasi uang 
sama ibunya. setelah sampe di toko ikan, ternyata uangnya ilang
 . dia bingung nyariin
uangnya yg lumayan gede. gak taunya uang itu jatoh ke got yg
ditutupin grill. akhirnya kakaknya dateng nyari2 dia yg gak
pulang2, terus bantuin gimana bisa ngambil uang yg jatoh itu.
film ini sempet menang di festival film of cannes tahun 1995.

yg sekolah di sekolah tuna netra di teheran. waktu liburan

spy si mohammed bisa tinggal di sekolah aja, gak usah liburan.
tapi gak bisalah. kan sekolahnya tutup. akhirnya ayahnya ngajak
dia pulang ke desanya
di sebelah utara iran. disana dia ketemu sama 2 adek ceweknya
& neneknya yg sayang
banget
sama dia  . ibunya
sendiri udah meninggal. ayahnya ini ceritanya mau nikah lagi,
tapi dia ragu2 niatnya bakal batal gara2 dia punya anak yg buta. |

sama jutaan ulet. ih!*. dia bisa nyelametin desanya sih, tapi

disana dia ketemu klan tataka yg ngancurin hutan buat nambang
besi. sementara di hutan ada san, anak adopsi dari dewa serigala
yg mau nyelametin hutan. si ashitaka nyoba nengahin pertengkaran
antara mereka. |

you can count on this book  if
you look for detail information about bali. miguel
covarrubias, a mexican artist  ,
lived in bali for 3 years in the early of 1930s. it became a
best-seller after its first published in 1937 as one
of the earliest book about bali.
i haven't read it, but i'm borrowing it now from putau *he always
has some nice, good books about bali*. since it's so detail
and thick, i'm not sure i'll read them all  .

As the archetype of delicate and feminine, the legong is
the finest of Balinese dances.

The legong is performed at feast, generally in the late afternoon

new maccaroni club
for a tiny farewell
party .
there were only three
of us:
me, agi, and the leaving guy.
if you read my blog from last
year,
a few hour before the
bomb tragedy,
i was here. and this place was only about 3 buildings away from
sari club and just about across paddy's. so if i was there just
a bit longer, there won't
be
alaya anymore  ,
because i heard some people died

last week my boss just told us they just re-open
 the maccaroni
club. i really
want
to go there. but since kuta is so
crowded
these days, driving through jalan legian is really pain in the
ass . until the leaving
guy called me  and
invited me to have his farewell party in maccaroni.
the place was still
awesome.
the same cool
design but with
less glass
*they learned from the tragedy*. you should go upstair
where they have this scarry

Bapakku
anggrek bulan, putih dari hutan. Ibuku mawar merah di taman, dekat
pagar pekarangan. Bertemu suatu pagi di pelabuhan. Melahirkanku. Bayi
merah muda kemboja. Bunga kuburan.
Leluhurku lelaki perompak dari dalam hutan pulau tak bertuan yang
pergi berkeliaran dekat laut lepas, mencegat dan merampok kapal berisi
emas. Seandainya saja. Tetapi leluhurku pelaut Makassar yang datang
berniaga. Leluhurku saudagar Cina yang jatuh cinta pada tanjung dan

gini, kuta, terutama jalan legian macet
 total. seperti

bikin macet ini orang2 jakarta. mereka kelakuannya di-mana2 sama
aja.
di kotanya sendiri bikin macet, di bandung bikin macet *bandung di
kala weekend, beuh macetnya!!!*, & kalo liburan sekolah gini di
bali juga bikin macet.
sebenernya jalan

itu satu arah, jadi harusnya ga macet2 banget. tapi org2 itu begitu
melewati lokasi
bekas pemboman,
mobilnya di-pelan2in, terus mereka memandangi 
tempat itu sambil mengurut dada, se-akan2 mereka bisa merasakan apa
yg terjadi. padahal di tempat itu udah gak ada apa2. selain tanah
kosong yg sekarang lagi dibangun sesuatu yg gak jelas.

one
of our favorite spot
in bali is hu'u.
it calls itself a "pre
club bar, lounge, kitchen and chill out pool".
situated on jalan oberoi-petitenget
*north of legian, next to 'the living room' *, it has a cozy
atmosphere where you can talk to your friends without being
bothered with ugly loud music.
the table by
the plunge pool,
on the timber
deck
is always our favorite place. but everytime i go there, i have
never seen anyone using the pool *maybe 
because i usually go there in the evening*. during the rainy
 day, you can move
to the
lounge.
it's also comfortable, but it's a bit hard to have conversation
there since it has 'distance' from one seat to another.
my friend said the design is too singaporean.
but i don't really care 
if it's |
singaporean,
or balinese, or whatever as long the place is nice.
